some people who smoke or sell bud do other drugs, so if someone goes to buy bud, and the other dude has drugs, they are their, and more accessible, then yes, you are more likely to do it.

Legalizing weed and letting us grow it would take mucho amounts of money form groups that would love to do Americans harms. Its not the most savory folks producing it now.

As one well familiar with it, let me say that pot is a gateway drug. So is alcohol, so is nicotine. With that said, and as I have stated on here earlier, no one can understand the addictive personality of the addict except for the recovering addict him/herself. Someone stated earleir that it was a choice - no, it isn't. An addict has no choice, as he is consumed with it.

Don't want to start a debate or argument, but I know addiction. And this will be my last post on here concerning this topic. If someone wants/needs help, pm me. I'll do everything I can to help you.

Legalizing weed = money out of criminal hands, criminals out of neighborhoods, cartels take a hit, government frees up money to spend on useful stuff and a huge boost in tax revenue, or even the opportunity to curb taxation. Increased effectiveness of law enforcement able to focus on more important crimes . . . the list goes on and on.

Banning weed funds hostile foreign governments, and terrorism. Even if it has adverse effects on the body, do we really need our government telling us what to do with our bodies? When are they going to start putting everyone on a diet? Clean up fast food? Make us exercise?

Weed is already available everywhere anyways. I guarantee you need to go no further than a block for weed. If anything it would more strictly regulate who can get weed, since street dealers don't usually card and tobacco shops do. Given that it's basically a non-addictive form of cigarette, it makes no sense at all to keep it illegal when doing so is a known detriment to public safety. Also, regulating it would possibly make it less harmful. You never know what additives could be in the weed drug dealers sell, though if manufactured it could be possibly made more safe. It IS a public health issue if its sold by dealers.
